Washington Redskins general counsel and senior vice president Eric Schaffer has left the building. 

The organization announced Thursday that Schaffer and the Redskins “have mutually parted ways.” The statement brought an end to conflicting rumors about Schaffer’s future with the team. He had been with the Redskins for more than 17 years and was the team’s salary cap guru.
