An anonymous letter from Black employees at the U.S. Mint to Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin alleges the organization’s all-white legal department does not properly investigate claims of racism and is complicit in covering them up.

The letter and the claims in it have sparked an investigation by the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Office of Inspector General, a representative told Corporate Counsel on Friday.
