Microsoft Corp.’s Law Firm Diversity Program, which has been operating for 12 years, continues to spur changes within the law firms that handle the Redmond, Washington-based tech giant’s legal matters. 

Law firms that participate in the program receive bonuses based on diversity metrics, including the number of diverse partners, executive management members and the number of hours that diverse attorneys spend on Microsoft work, which has increased by nearly 30% since the program’s inception in 2008.
