Companies have been speaking out in droves about the importance of equality and inclusion, but a new survey of corporate executives, including in-house leaders, reveals a significant disconnect between what businesses are saying and what they’re actually doing. 

While corporate boards trumpet lofty diversity aspirations, too many have failed to set real deadlines to make those goals a reality. At the same time, these companies continue to shy away from effective board refreshment strategies, according to a report from the New York Stock Exchange and corporate governance company Diligent Corp.
