Spotify USA Inc. chief legal officer Horacio Gutierrez issued an internal memo advising team managers on how to handle concerns about content on the streaming platform after controversy erupted over a podcast featuring an interview with conspiracy theorist and political extremist Alex Jones. 

“If a team member has concerns about any piece of content on our platform, you should encourage them to report it to Trust & Safety because they are the experts on our team charged with reviewing content,” Gutierrez wrote in a leaked Wednesday email that BuzzFeed News first obtained.
