Goldman Sachs has retained Kaplan Hecker & Fink partner Roberta Kaplan as defense counsel as it faces allegations by a former in-house attorney that she was fired for trying to give investigators information on an inappropriate relationship between a manager in the legal department and a junior in-house attorney.

In addition to entering her appearance Tuesday, Kaplan removed the suit to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The update was first reported by Law.com’s Legal Radar.
