After getting a new CEO in August, Hanesbrands Inc. is searching for a new general counsel to lead the clothing company’s legal department as its longtime chief lawyer prepares for retirement next year. 

Joia Johnson, who also serves as chief administrative officer and corporate secretary, told the global apparel company Nov. 5 that she will retire May 7, 2021, according to a Tuesday filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. She has worked for Hanes for 13 years.
