Former Harley-Davidson Inc. chief lawyer Paul Jones is taking over as general counsel and vice president for Marquette University, as the school grapples with significant budget woes resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jones will begin his new job on Jan. 4. But he’s already a familiar face on the private Jesuit research school’s Milwaukee campus, which is a five-minute motorcycle ride from Harley-Davidson’s headquarters.
