Another company has hired its first general counsel. But unlike many of the recent first-ever GC appointments, which have occurred primarily at startups, the latest hire joins a company that has been in business since 1975.

PAC Worldwide Corp., a global packaging company based in Seattle, announced Wednesday that it had recruited its first top lawyer, David Peterson, from Amazon.com Inc. Peterson had served as the e-commerce and tech behemoth’s senior corporate counsel for about eight months before he left for the GC role at PAC.
