In-house lawyers and other corporate departments are struggling with contract management, resulting in slow revenue and lost business, while there’s often mass confusion over what department actually controls the contract process, according to results released Thursday from a new survey.

The report from EY and the Harvard Law School Center on the Legal Profession reflects the views of 1,000 contracting professionals and leaders from law departments, procurement, commercial contracting and business development functions.
