New York-based insurer Chubb’s legal department started its Rule of Law Fund as a way to help small projects and organizations through individual contributions by lawyers. Now, it’s a companywide effort, and it’s pivoting to focus on racial justice.

As corporate legal departments across industries are being tasked with advancing ESG initiatives, Chubb’s story is an example of how legal department social justice initiatives can go beyond pro bono legal work.
