FedEx Corp. and Procter & Gamble Co. are fighting shareholder proposals pushing for policies aimed at promoting diversity at the upper levels of the companies and bringing more transparency to environmental, social and governance reporting. 

The proposals, which P&G and FedEx disclosed in recent proxy filings, are the latest examples of mounting ESG pressures on major corporations.
