NASCAR associate general counsel Katie Hoffman is leaving the racing world to drive the legal department at athlete marketing tech firm Opendorse. 

After two years as an in-house leader for NASCAR, Hoffman will go to work Sept. 20 as the first general counsel at Lincoln, Nebraska-based startup Opendorse. She announced the career move Friday in a LinkedIn post.
