After nearly two decades in Hyundai Motor North America’s legal department, Jason Erb is settling into the driver’s seat as chief legal officer.

Erb succeeds Jerry Flannery, who ended his 34-year run with the company when he retired in March. After Flannery announced his departure, Hyundai considered in-house and external candidates to serve as the automaker’s next legal boss.
