The sole in-house lawyer at Benjamin Moore & Co. isn’t a general counsel or chief legal officer, at least not by title. 

Instead, Jennifer O’Neill serves as the Berkshire Hathaway-owned paint company’s “lead counsel” or “senior counsel.” She joined Benjamin Moore earlier this month, less than a year after the organization gave its four in-house lawyers, including the GC, the boot and began outsourcing legal work.
