Shoe Carnival Inc.’s next legal chief will have some big, ahem, shoes to fill. 

The national footwear retailer’s long-serving general counsel, Sean Georges, has stepped down after more than two decades with the Evansville, Indiana-based company. He parted ways with Shoe Carnival on Thursday, the same day its longtime CEO stepped down.
