Women, Influence & Power in LawFollowing the upheaval of the pandemic, businesses are charting a different course than existed before. But, what will the new working world mean for women? And, do you need to be present in the office to get ahead? In this three-part series, we will be exploring the potential opportunities and pitfalls for women; how leaders can ensure they foster an inclusive environment; and, the steps in-house counsel can take to ensure they are impactful when working remotely.
When speaking to in-house leaders there appear to be mixed ideas on what the new working world will mean for female general counsel. On the one hand, the pandemic has shone a light on the lives that individuals have outside of the office, some form of flexibility is now a given, and there is greater tolerance and acceptance of individuals commitments outside of work.
Julie Lawrence-Rodriguez, Legal Counsel at CNA Hardy emphasized that the new working world has provided an opportunity for increased work-life balance and has removed the stigma surrounding remote working.
