India's BYJU'S, the world's most valuable educational technology company, this month announced its newest general counsel, Seattle-based Aaron Kornblum, as it accelerates its North American expansion.

Kornblum joined BYJU'S in March as head of its FutureSchool, an online platform that teaches coding and math to students 6 through 18, though BYJU did not announce the appointment until Oct. 12. Kornblum previously was general counsel at video game companies Improbable and Bungie.

The move comes as BYJU'S co-founder Byju Raveendran targets the United States to rapidly expand his company, which already was worth $18 billion as of June. He told Forbes this month that he wants to reach $1 billion in U.S. revenue within three years.
