Engineering Firm KBR Hires Well-Traveled Attorney as General Counsel
Sonia Galindo will take the legal reins of a company that last year shifted its focus to providing technology services. It previously was best known as a defense and aerospace contractor.

The Houston-based engineering and construction company KBR has hired veteran legal executive Sonia Galindo as general counsel and executive vice president.

Galindo joins KBR from FLIR Systems Inc., a maker of thermal imaging cameras that was acquired by Teledyne Technologies in May. She served as FLIR's senior vice president, general counsel, and chief ethics and compliance officer. Before FLIR, Galindo served as general counsel at education-software company Rosetta Stone Inc. and vice president and associate general counsel of Keurig Green Mountain Inc.
