Yang, who is based in Washington, D.C., most recently served as the Bentonville, Arkansas-based organization's interim general counsel following the departure last May of Lisa Montez, who now serves as senior counsel at Chicago-based Builders Vision, an investment platform headed by Walmart heir Lukas Walton.

In a statement, Walton Family Foundation Executive Director Caryl M. Stern said Yang brings deep legal expertise and experience working in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors to her new role.
