Los Angeles-based cannabis company Shryne Group has brought aboard a chief legal officer who previously was one of the top executives of Houseplant, the cannabis business launched by actor Seth Rogen and screenwriter Evan Goldberg.

Shryne announced the hiring of Cary Berger as CLO on Wednesday. In that role, he will oversee the legal function and advise the board and management on all legal, business and policy matters.
