Ride-share giant Lyft announced Wednesday the promotion of longtime company attorney Lindsay Llewellyn to general counsel, replacing high-profile legal leader Kristin Sverchek.

Sverchek, who joined the company in its few earliest months in 2012, will not be departing. Instead, she will become Lyft’s first-ever president of business affairs, focusing on companywide initiatives and operational effectiveness.
