Education technology company Turnitin, which specializes in plagiarism detection, announced Monday the appointment of Hazel-Ann Mayers to the position of general counsel.

Mayers, based in New York, currently serves as an adjunct professor of law at Fordham University Law School, and has spent most of her career at CBS Corp., where she most recently served as executive vice president, chief business ethics and compliance officer. She also spent time at Simon and Schuster, where she served as general counsel starting in 2015.
