Global Leaders in Law recently hosted the Global General Counsel Forum at the wonderful Villa d'Este on the shores of Lake Como. Below, Anna Nicola of TransPerfect shares the key leadership lessons she learned at the gathering.
All of us left Como richer than before (of mind and heart, maybe not of wallet!). Whilst collecting my own thoughts, I reduced them into a page of the key messages I took away. Without any specifics, or attributing any of the information, I thought I'd share my summary with you.
Clarity, transparency, and trust resonated through all the sessions. Whether you need to drive cross-functional collaborations or respond to a reputational threat, success is intrinsically linked to how deeply trust is rooted in your organization. It is by both benchmarking your leadership and working on your VUCA that people will intentionally connect to the purpose, and see you as a place of truth, even when crisis hits.
