Saab Inc.’s general counsel has parted ways with the Swedish aerospace and defense company to take over as top lawyer at the Federal Aviation Administration.

Marc Nichols announced on LinkedIn that he’d accepted President Joe Biden’s appointment to serve as chief counsel of the FAA. He was sworn into office Wednesday morning, according to his post. Nichols succeeds acting FAA chief counsel Mark Bury.
