In-house legal departments still smarting from class action setbacks should brace themselves, a new report by Seyfarth Shaw suggests. Last year saw the highest class action settlement numbers ever recorded, and according to the report 2022 could be even more difficult.

According to Seyfarth Shaw’s Workplace Class Action Litigation Report, released this week, class action settlements totaled $3.62 billion in 2021—more than twice the $1.58 billion tally for 2020.
