For the right candidate, companies are more willing than ever to allow legal chiefs to live in other parts of the country, far from headquarters, experts tracking legal hiring say.

What began as a trend among tech companies and accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic has become a serious movement across corporate America, said John Nixon, a partner with the law firm Duane Morris in Philadelphia who specializes in employee benefits and executive compensation.
