GE Healthcare announced that former Raytheon general counsel Frank Jimenez will join the company this month to lead its legal and policy teams.

Jimenez, who left Raytheon in December, will be GE Healthcare’s first legal chief. The division, which makes imaging scanners and other devices, is being disentangled from GE’s aviation and energy units as part of a plan to turn three businesses into separate public companies. Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher are advising GE on its health care spinoff, currently slated for 2023.
