Ryan Meyers takes the legal reins of the American Petroleum Institute less than two years after joining the organization.

The Washington, D.C.-based American Petroleum Institute, the largest lobbying organization for the oil and gas industry, has promoted Ryan Meyers to senior vice president and general counsel.
Meyers succeeds Paul Afonso, who stepped down after serving as chief legal officer for two and a half years with the company.
