It’s all hands on deck in Twitter’s legal department.

Twitter’s legal leaders are likely in the thick of discussions, as the company’s board reportedly considers a poison pill strategy to thwart Elon Musk’s $43 billion bid to buy the social media giant. In such corporate battles, the company’s top lawyer and the legal department are closely advising the board to review options and suss out future outcomes, evaluate securities rules and determine steps to take with federal regulators, all while working with outside counsel, legal experts said.
