Former Capital One Attorney Promoted to GC at Best Egg
Jean Traub led a 25-lawyer team at Capital One before joining the online lender six years ago.

Delaware-based Marlette Holdings, which operates online lender Best Egg, has promoted Jean Traub to general counsel. Traub, who spent 16 years at Capital One earlier in her career, has been Marlette's deputy general counsel and chief compliance officer since 2016.
She takes over as general counsel from Marlette's Frank Borchert, who will stay on at the holdings company as chief administrative and chief legal officer. Traub will report to Borchert, Marlette said in a Tuesday announcement.
"Jean has a remarkable breadth of experience and business knowledge," Marlette Holdings CEO Jeffrey Meiler said. "She is the right person to drive Marlette's legal and compliance functions as the company evolves and rapidly grows."

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota.
