General Mills Taps Financial Services Veteran to Take Legal Reins

General Mills has snagged Ameriprise Financial's general counsel, Karen Wilson Thissen, to fill that role at the Minneapolis-based consumer foods giant.
Thissen will succeed Richard Allendorf, who is retiring in August after more than two decades with the company, the last eight as GC.
Thissen, a 29-year legal veteran, has been with Ameriprise Financial, a wealth management powerhouse with $1.2 trillion in assets under management and administration, for 17 years, the last five as general counsel.
