New York-based Citigroup has named a new compliance chief—a move that comes two years after federal banking regulators fined the institution $400 million for alleged risk management lapses and ordered the bank to fix its risk-management system.

The new chief compliance officer, Tom Anderson, has been serving as compliance chief of Citi’s personal banking and wealth management business. He will succeed Mary McNiff, effective June 1.
