General counsel from large corporations, including Amazon and Comcast, have signed a letter asking Congress to approve President Joe Biden’s request for at least $700 million in funding for the Legal Services Corp., a pro bono organization.

Other companies supporting the request were Ford, General Electric, Twitter and AT&T. In total, 161 GCs from large corporations signed the letter, which says LSC both promotes social justice and protects the economy by ensuring major legal issues don’t weaken American workers.
