Food Giant Conagra Taps Insider to Lead Legal Team
Incoming general counsel Carey Bartell worked for a pharmaceutical firm before joining the packaged-foods company six years ago.

Packaged-foods maker Conagra, known for brands such as Birds Eye, Marie Callender's and Vlasic, announced Thursday that it promoted Carey Bartell to general counsel.
Bartell has been with Conagra since 2016, most recently serving as vice president and chief counsel for litigation and compliance. She previously spent seven years at the pharmaceutical and medical device company Hospira.
CEO Sean Connolly said Bartell was a natural fit following general counsel Colleen Batcheler's departure in April to become general counsel of Hertz.
