Gartner Inc.'s general counsel, Jules Kaufman, is leaving the company on Sept. 1, a new Securities and Exchange Commission filing by the company shows.

Kaufman has served as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary for the Stamford, Connecticut-based research and consulting firm since 2017.

In the filing, the company said "there has been no disagreement between Mr. Kaufman and Gartner around strategy, financials or business practices."

Kaufman was not immediately available to comment. The company did not name a replacement and also did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Kaufman, 64, is one of Gartner's five highest-paid executives. In 2021, he received total compensation of $3.3 million, up from $2.8 million the prior year.

Prior to joining Gartner, Kaufman was chief legal officer and secretary at Holland-based Coty Inc. for more than eight years.

He previously spent almost two decades at Colgate Palmolive Co., first as vice president and associate general counsel and then as general counsel for its Europe/South Pacific division.

Kaufman started his career as an associate at law firm Holtzman, Wise & Shepard, where he spent five years.

Gartner has 16,600 employees. In 2021, it had $4.7 billion in revenue, which was derived from research, conferences and consulting.
