LVMH North America has appointed Rodney C. Pratt as chief legal officer, the French holding multinational corporation and conglomerate announced on LinkedIn.

Pratt joins LVMH with over two decades of global legal experience, spending the last 11 years as Nike's vice president of the Office of the General Counsel Operations, Innovation and Strategic Initiatives.

In his new role, Pratt will oversee the North American business and lead the LVMH Inc. legal team. He will partner with the LVMH Maisons, providing proactive and pragmatic legal counsel regarding worldwide regulatory, corporate, litigation and commercial matters, the company said in its LinkedIn post.

Prior to Nike, Pratt spent six years as general counsel for Converse. Before that, he spent three years as assistant general counsel at Nike. Early in his career, he spent almost a decade as a partner at now defunct Washington, D.C.-based Dickstein Shapiro.

Pratt and LVMH did not immediately respond to Law.com's request for comments.
