Tesla Says Legal Chief David Searle Hasn't Left the Building

Tesla Inc. legal chief David Searle has not split with the company, contrary to a report from Bloomberg, according to the electric vehicle maker, which has dismissed news of Searle's departure as "false."
"This Bloomberg article is false. David Searle has not left Tesla," the company stated late Wednesday afternoon on Twitter.
The article in question, "Tesla Legal Chief Who Led Purchasing Probe Exits EV Maker," which cited three unnamed "people familiar with the matter," asserted that Searle had left his position as head of legal at Tesla "less than a month ago."
