Georgia Tech has hired Danette Joslyn-Gaul away from the education-publishing giant Pearson to serve as general counsel and vice president for ethics, compliance and legal affairs.

Joslyn-Gaul has been with Pearson since 2014 and most recently served as chief compliance officer for nearly five years. Before that, she spent 11 years at Wimberly, Lawson, Steckel, Schneider & Stine in Atlanta, a year as a lawyer out on her own and more than two years as general counsel and head of government relations at the Georgia Technology Authority.
