The vast majority of legal chiefs are concerned to some degree about cybersecurity, regardless of their industry. But when you’re the general counsel for a cybersecurity company, those concerns tend to be heightened.

Just ask veteran in-house legal leader Lauren Zajac, who is about a week into her role as the first-ever general counsel for Seattle-based cybersecurity startup ExtraHop. Her arrival at the company comes after private equity firms Bain Capital and Crosspoint Capital Partners acquired ExtraHop for $900 million.
