Allstate has hired MetLife veteran Christine DeBiase as executive vice president and chief legal officer.

DeBiase will fill the role held by Rhonda Ferguson, who died in April at age 52 after an extended cancer battle. Ferguson had been Allstate's legal chief since 2020 and was one of the original members of Corporate Counsel Women of Color, which launched in 2004 and now includes more than 4,500 diverse in-house lawyers.
