Corii Berg has resigned as general counsel to the movie and TV production company Lionsgate, the company disclosed in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing Tuesday, a departure that comes months ahead of his contract expiration.
It is not clear why he is stepping down. The company and Berg did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
