Veteran financial services attorney Hope Mehlman has landed one of the top jobs in her industry—chief legal officer of Discover.

(Courtesy photo) Mehlman comes to the Riverwoods, Illinois-based company from San Francisco-based Bank of the West, where she has been general counsel since 2020. Earlier, she spent 14 years at Birmingham, Alabama-based Regions Bank, where she rose to chief governance officer and deputy general counsel.
