The gun-control nonprofit Brady has hired former White House lawyer Douglas Letter as chief legal officer.
Letter comes to Brady with 44 years of legal experience, 40 of them at the Justice Department, where he served as associate counsel to President Bill Clinton, deputy associate attorney general and director of the appellate staff of the Civil Division.
