A host of new laws, regulations and reporting requirements are taking effect in 2023 that will keep tech companies on their toes.

State laws on pay transparency and data privacy are kicking in, and new Securities and Exchange Commission disclosure rules on climate change and cybersecurity also likely will be in the offing. The Department of Labor also is pushing a rule change that will affect the gig economy.
