The Walt Disney Co.’s new general counsel, Horacio Gutierrez, received $15.2 million in compensation in 2022, his first year on the job, according to the company’s proxy statement filed Wednesday afternoon.

Gutierrez started at the Burbank, California-based entertainment and media giant Feb. 1. He succeeded Alan Braverman, who retired at the end of 2021 after 18 years as legal chief.
