Up until recently, looking for a sourdough bread recipe on any internet search engine would likely result in a long list of links to cooking websites or blogs.

But recently, following the excitement around OpenAI’s ChatGPT, several tech giants have announced they were incorporating their own AI chatbots into their search engines, meaning a bot could now directly answer the prompt, “how to make sourdough bread” without users needing to leave the search engine’s site.
