Much of the discussion about AI use in legal departments has focused on automating administrative tasks. But many developers and attorneys say it also has tremendous potential in the higher-value realm of negotiating contracts.

AI tools already have been used for basic contract work by companies such as Amazon and Zuva. But general counsel soon will leverage AI for negotiations and deep analysis, according to panelists at a recent webinar hosted by software company TermScout and Law Insider.
