A lawyer suing the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to prevent being identified in an inspection report that could bring “unwarranted reputational harm” has been granted a request to remain anonymous, for now.

Chief Judge James Boasberg of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled late last week that “J. Doe” satisfied three of five criteria for determining the lawyer’s “legitimate interest in anonymity.”
