Axiom, one of the big providers of outsourced legal services, hired a new general counsel with deep in-house experience, including stints at Mastercard and Pitney Bowes.
Ashlin Quirk is taking the legal reins from Catherine Kemnitz, who recently became New York-based Axiom's chief strategy and development officer. She'd been legal chief for almost four years and has been with Axiom in a variety of roles since 2014.

The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls.
